She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John B. Newman; her children, Julie Meier, Joanne Rose, Cathy Norton, Maria Lasser, Carol McDonald and Greg Newman; her parents, Alvin Hinze and Virginia Hinze (Waitekunas); and her siblings, Richard Hinze, Linda Grubb, Bradford Hinze and Frances Hinze Baudhuin. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
