With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Duke Brackett of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Susan Duke shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Susan Duke farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Arthur Duke and Mary Blanche Johnson Duke. She is survived by: her brother David Duke (Mary-Ann); and her daughters, Rachel Brackett Nystrom (Steve), Deb Brackett Disney (Kep) and Tanya Brackett Evans. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Susan loved flowers, so send them, but she would also like you to remember her by donating to Via Health Partners of Charlotte – Hospice, the Assistance League of Charlotte, or Christ Lutheran Church.
