He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Finlayson Cardo; his sons, James Edwin Cardo and Thomas Alexander Cardo Jr. (Christine Younghans); his grandchild Rylee; and his siblings, James J. Cardo (Lynda) of Charleston, SC, Margaret Harris (Beth) of Charlotte and Nancy Cardo of Charlotte. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and sons.
