It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vera Gertraude Goldberg in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Col. Seymour L. Goldberg; and her daughter Juliana Weinstein. She is survived by: her friend Vera; her daughters, Vera, Stephanie Ansaldo (Tony) and Margie Whalen (Bud); her grandchildren, Alex Ansaldo (Anna), Nicholas Arbor (Casey), Patrick Whalen (Kristin), Emily Thomas (Josh), Michael Whalen, Natalie Weinstein (Dave Lindenbaum) and Alexandra Weinstein (Rowan Cignoni); and her great grandchildren, Aviv, Leonora, McKensie, Campbell, James, Annie, Charlie, Jackson, William, Molly and Megan.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a small family only service at 2 pm on Monday, December 21 at Hebrew Cemetery which can be viewed via Facebook Live.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Echo Foundation, The Assistance League of Charlotte, Southminster Retirement Community or a charity of your choice.
