Verna Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Smith of Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on March 25, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Duhaney-Jordan and Joseph Duhaney-Jordan; her son John Joseph Smith; her former husband Hugh Aikman; her husband John C. Smith; her son Jeffrey Jordan; and her siblings, Harold Jordan and Daphne Jordan.
She is survived by: her children, Daphne-Marie Smith-Sullivan and Christopher Robert Smith; her granddaughters, Samantha Smith and Tawana Carter; and her cousin Barbara F. Jones. She is also survived by Goddaughters, Godsons, Cousins, family and friends.
Those in attendance will need to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
