Watson Black Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 1, 2021, at the age of 85, Watson Black (Charlotte, North Carolina), born in Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Watson C. Black and Ella Sue Binns Black; and his son Michael Worth Black. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Black; his daughters, Kimberly Owensby (Mark) and Pamela Strader (Ricky); his grandchildren, Breanne Owensby of Kannapolis, Rachel Strader of Kannapolis and Ethan Strader of Kannapolis; his brother Dr. Robert Black (Judy) of Central, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara McFall, Pat Blankenship and Helen O'Kelley of Asheville. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
The family appreciated the quality and compassionate care by Atrium Health Cabarrus and Atrium University ER and COVID units.
