It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Blackwelder (Cherryville, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on December 11, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lee and Kate Harrill Hunt; her husband Charles "Dick" Blackwelder; her daughter Catherine "Leigh" Young; and her siblings, Bill Hunt, Jim Hunt, Frances Hunt and Jane Hobbs.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brian Young (Kim) of Nashville, TN and Alison Young Matthews (Trey) of Mount Juliet, TN; her son-in-law Tim Young of Hillsborough; her great grandchildren, Jackson Matthews and Roman Young; and her brothers, Joe Hunt and John Hunt. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
