He is survived by: his wife Terry Lail Slaughter; his daughters, Renee McNeilly (Clint) of Shelby and Amy Slaughter of Cherryville; his grandson Casey McNeilly (Kimberly); his great grandchild Elisa Renee McNeilly; his sisters, Carolyn Lail (Jr), Barbara Smith and Kathy Smith; his brother-in-law Buck Carpenter; and also Rocky. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
