He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillard Bickle, Sr. and Ava Stroupe Wise; his wife Connie Lou Turner Wise; his brother Joe; his sister-in-law Shirley Wise; his sister Jill; and his brother-in-law Roy Daggerhart.
He is survived by: his children, Plastering, Cheryl Wise McGinnis (Joel), Hillard Bickle "Butch" Wise, III and Bradley Russ "Rusty" Wise (Anne); his grandchildren, Winston Russ Wise and Savannah Grace Wise; his siblings, Gary Wise, Linda Brown and Ann Wise; and his caregiver Iwanda Williams. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 E Main St, Cherryville, NC 28021). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
