She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandparents, Melvin and Amanda Bumgardner Newton; her parents, Kenneth Leatherman and Eva Newton Leatherman; her grandson Neman Bates; her children, Rita Ginaine (Gerry) of Fayetteville, Hilda Bates of Cherryville and Michael Rogers (Beth) of Sunset Beach; her grandchildren, Danielle Fink (Murray) of Huger, SC, Jennifer Philbeck (Michael) of Cherryville, Meredith Edmister (Matt) of New Bern, NC, Laura Massey (Adam) of Lutz, FL and Dillon Rogers (Kayla) of Midland, NC.; and her great grandchildren, Madeline Fink, Sadie Fink, Zen Bates, Madison Philbeck, Gracie Jackson, Lani Philbeck, Hunter Jackson, Kinslee Philbeck, Mara Edmister, Gregory Edmister and Finley Massey.
