It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vickie Elaine Porter of Cherryville, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joe Bill Clawson and Dorothy Sue Jarrell Clawson; her brother Walter Michael Clawson; and her former life partner Larry James Leonhardt. She is survived by : her husband Tommy Porter; her son Tyler Leonhardt (Cortney Bowker); her brothers, Rick Clawson (Lynne) and Scott Carpenter (Lisa); her stepdaughters, Jennifer Porter Snipes (Josh) and Amanda Porter Aldridge (Chris); her grandchildren, Emma Snipes and Porter Aldridge; her cousins, Darlene Clawson Greene and Debbie Canipe; and her friend Kathy Pigg (Brodie).
