She was predeceased by: her parents, Bailon McKenzie and Georgia McKenzie; and her son John Patrick Jaap (Annelise). She is survived by: her husband John C. Jaap; her children, Jason Jaap, David Jaap (Stefanie), Audra Lowman and Amy Butler (Paxton); her grandchildren, Amanda Berns (Christopher), Hillary Jaap (Jorge), Tanner Lowman (Chelsea), Conner Lowman, Kaitlyn Jaap, Olivia Jaap of John Paxton, Savanna Jaap, Simon Butler (Joanna), Nicholas Jaap and Claire Butler; her stepgrandchildren, Ilya Wang and Alex Wang (Noni); her great grandchildren, Sophia Berns, Christopher Berns and Kennedy Lowman; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Chiimaaka Boado, Liwanag Boado and Ray Boado.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home (1420 N Main St, China Grove, NC 28023).
