With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Carl Church Jr. of Claremont, North Carolina, who passed away on February 28, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Church, Sr. and Ihling Fletcher Church; his wife Eloise Clark Church; his son Timothy Church; and his siblings, Dorothy Hunter and Robert F. Church.

He is survived by: his children, James Church III (Judy) of Icard and Melissa Dunning (Allan) of Claremont; his daughter-in-law Teresa Church of Claremont; his sister Carlee Eddie of Wilkes County; his grandchildren, Aletha, TaLeah, Tatum, James IV, Tayla and Justin; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Collin, Kian, Orryn, Aldyn, Amilya and Emily.

Memorials may be made to Joy Baptist Church, 4015 Herman Sipe Road, Conover, NC 28610 and Carolina Rehab Center of Burke, 3647 Miller Bridge Road, Connelly Springs, NC. 28612.
