It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Summerlin of Clarkton, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on September 1, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Bryant Summerlin and Ava Lancaster Summerlin; and his sister Joyce Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Amanda Tart Summerlin; his daughter Wendy Summerlin of Topton, NC; his stepson Michael Carr (Connie) of Clarkton; his siblings, Kenneth Summerlin of Chadbourn, Blanche Summerlin of Hallsboro, Evelyn Smith (Paul) of Virginia, Elsie Stevens of Hallsboro and Jane Ellen Simmons (Richard); his grandchildren, Ashton Cook, Jacob Carr and AJ Carr; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Cook and Knox Cook.
Masks are required and social distancing will be encouraged.
