We are sad to announce that on August 23, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Charles Claxton Gray of Clayton, North Carolina, born in New Haven, Connecticut. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Mable Brazier Gray and Charles E Gray; his wife Shirley Ann Lumpkin Gray; his children, Deidre Cuffee-Gray, Cynthia Sinclair, Dawn Dixon, Tina Woods, Jonathan Gray, Michael Sinclair and John Sinclair; and his former life partner Shirley Cuffee Gray. He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and one great-grand daughter.

A public memorial service will be held at St. Matthew AME Church, Raleigh, when COVID restrictions have been lifted.
