She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Speed and Lula Pointer; her son Robert Dante Barnes; and her sisters, Gwendolyn Franklin and Sharron Daniel.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Barnes of Clayton; her son Terrence Eugene Reed (Jessica); her grandchildren, Peyton and Jacob Reed; her great grandchildren, Malachi of Wilmington, NC and Shiloh Reed of Wilmington, NC; her siblings, Carl W. Reed (Hee Jenong Suh) of Seoul, Darrell Fredrick of Center Point, Jessica Rena Dobbs of Birmingham and Patrena McNeal of Birmingham; and her siblings-in-law, Samuel Barnes of Knightdale, Ronald Barnes of Houston and Olivia Patterson of Goldsboro. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and so many friends.
