He was predeceased by: his parents, Gillen Grafton Black and Alice Williard Black; his son Kenneth Black; his siblings, Curtis Black, Geneva Pardue and Emma Lee Darnell; his former wife Bonnie Beane Black; his grandchildren, Chance Black and Kristen Black; and his great grandchild Hayden Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Edwards, Carol Leamon (Mike) and Charles "Buddy" Black (Maggie); his stepson Danny Leonard (Margie); his sisters, Marilyn Patterson and Jill Chucci (Joe); his close friend Shelby Blackburn; his grandchildren, Kacie Shaver, Stephanie Troche (Steven), Lisa Hunt (Bryan), Lauren Mauldin (James), Kelly Myers (Jason) and Amy Williams; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie Black, Abby Weaver, Cain, Brynn, Jude Black, Salem, Scarlett Mauldin, Sophie, Xander Troche, Tucker, Kelsey Myers, Gage and Keaton Williams. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
