With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jennings Benjamin Nelson Sr. (Cleveland, North Carolina), born in Bryson City, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2018 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parent Laura Cates Nelson; his wife Fannie Cagle Nelson; and his siblings, Grady, Wade, Roy Nelson, Thelma Young, Wilma Nelson and Evelyn Rogers.
He is survived by: his parent James Fidel Nelson; his son Jennings Nelson (Jeanette) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Jason Nelson (Lindsey) of Mooresville, Justin Nelson (Erica) of Salisbury and Jessica Rhodes (Jonathan) of Cleveland; and his great grandchildren, Addison, Camden, Lilly, Kendall Nelson and Stella Rhodes.
