He was predeceased by: his parent Hoyle Costner; his former wife Christine Warlick Costner; and his siblings, Earl Costner, Elbert Costner, Brainard Costner and Esther Costner Greene.
He is survived by: his parent Bertha Smith Costner; his wife Lorene Miller Costner; his children, Dennis Costner (Pat) of Charlotte and Susan Hubbard (Keith) of Shelby; his grandchildren, April Costner of Peachtree Corners, GA, Kyle Hubbard (Lindsi) of Blacksburg, VA and Brad Hubbard (Alex) of Lexington, KY; his stepgrandchildren, Max Gardner (Stacey) of Shelby and Holly Gardner of Charlotte; and his great grandchildren, Ella Hubbard and Rey Hubbard.
