He is survived by: his wife Lue Bertha Herring of Clinton, NC; his children, Carol of Rocky Mount, NC, Linda Banks of Turkey, NC, Terry Henry of Salemburg, NC, Angela Butler of Jacksonville, NC, Arness Herring (Michelle) of Morvin, NC and Larry Herring of Clinton, NC.; his grandchildren, Marie of Rocky Mount, NC., Angela of Rocky Mount, NC., Eric of Rocky Mount, NC. and Elijah of Rocky Mount, NC.; his great grandchildren, Darien Green (Dj), Ayden Thompkins (Bear) and Malakai Green (Milo); and his brother Glenn Oates of Mount Pleasant, NC.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
