She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Barefoot and Iola Parson Barefoot; and her brother James Newton Barefoot. She is survived by: her son David Bennett; her grandson John Wesley Bennett (Kara); and her great grandchildren, Frank Thomas Bennett and Joey Calhoun Bennett.
