She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Green Simmons and Ada Bell Freeman Simmons; and her son James Anthony "Andy" Brewington. She is survived by: her children, James Alex Brewington (Juanita) and Carol Gene Brewington (Dean); her daughter-in-law Laura Brewington; and her sisters, Delores Simmons, Sarah Davis, Glenda Foss and Janice Odom. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
