She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward James and Rosa Hinnant Precise; her husband Donald Raeford Carr; and her children, Frankie Carr and Peggy Jean Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Carr Parker of Garland, Lisa Carr Davis of Clinton and Larry Carr of Ladson, SC; and her sisters, Hazel Tyndall of Clinton and Susie McGee Stone of Clinton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
