He was predeceased by: his parents, Eunice Bissette of Washington and Martha Sanders Bissette; and his daughter Catherine Sanders. He is survived by: his wife April Royal Bissette; his son Edward Douglass Bissette (Gina) of Raleigh; and his grandsons, Edward Joseph Bissette, Jack Douglass Bissette and John Royal Bissette.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 408 College St. Clinton, N. C. 28328 Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Bissette family.
