It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emojeanne Balkcum of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ottis Maynard and Bessie Jones Maynard; her husband James Tyson Balkcum; and her sisters, Evelyn Jernigan Howard and Ruth Denning.
She is survived by: her children, James T. Balkcum, Jr. (Dot), William Anthony Balkcum, Charles Mark Balkcum, Jeffrey Maynard Balkcum (Kelly) and Lauren J. Balkcum. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
