She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wright and Effie Boyette; and her grandchild Christin Maria Waters Minchew. She is survived by: her children, William Nelson Waters, Jr. (Carolyn) of Clinton, Judy Waters Smith (DeWitt) of Cary and Anita Waters Alpenfels (Eric) of Pinehurst; her sister Annette Kernstein of Hope, Michigan.; her grandchildren, Stephen Wright Waters (Leigh), William Nelson Waters III (Heather), Holly Smith Talton (Gabe), Anna Smith Miller (Rob) and Sarah Smith Barker (Will); her great grandchildren, Kendrick Minchew, Will Minchew, Jane Caroline Minchew, Anna Leigh Waters, William Nelson Waters IV, Wright Waters, Louis Talton, DeWitt Talton, Jerry Miller, Emma Barker and Wyatt Barker; and her caregiver Marie.
