He is survived by: his wife Alice Jones Carter; his children, Patrick Lee Carter (Kristina), Tammy Mejia (Silvano), Lisa Carter (Leopoldo), Laura Brewington (Our Angel-Andy) and Stephanie McClenny (Chris); and his sister Vivian Carter Maynor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
