He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Emanuel Smith and Clyde Cruse Smith; and his brother Neal Austin Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mavis Arnett Smith; his children, Glenn Marvin Smith, Jr. (Wendy Carter), Angela Lee Rickman (James) of Carolina Beach and Bronica Hope Cortes (Alvaro); his stepchildren, Marshall Bryant Register, Jr. (Anna), Jamie Roderick (Beth) of Florida, Teresa Ann Maready of Wilson, Melissa Arizmendi, Ansel of Stedman and Lisa Michelle Maready of Warsaw; and his siblings, Dewitt Smith of Warsaw, Maggie Carter, Frankie of Clinton, Brenda Kennedy and Pat Coltrane of Kenansville. He is also survived by twenty eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
