He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurley Jennings Kinlaw and Dicy Omeda Faircloth Kinlaw; his wife Carolyn Kinlaw; and his brothers, Alton and Marvin Kinlaw.

He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Kinlaw Fryar (Gary) and Kelly Kinlaw; his grandchildren, Garrison and Raelyn Fryar; and his caregivers, Michelle, Faye and Dr. Palmer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
