With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Locklear of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James Locklear and Margie Locklear; his wife Gladys Locklear; and his brother Dannie Locklear. He is survived by: his sons, Laten Ross Jones of Red Springs, Kit Locklear of Clinton, James Jr. Locklear of Myrtle Beach, Jason Locklear of Shallotte and Dean Smiling of Goldsboro; and his siblings, Lyndola Locklear, Theresa Locklear, Patsy Locklear, Mary Alice Locklear of Maxton, Harvey Locklear of Fayetteville and Rocky Locklear of Shannon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
