It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Norton (Roseboro, North Carolina), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Norton and Betsy Smith Norton. He is survived by: his siblings, Latta Norton, Jesse Norton, Claude Norton, Cecil Norton and Alta Cribbs; and his wife Margaret Faircloth Norton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elizabeth Baptist Church (80 Council Ln, Roseboro, NC 28382). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
