He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Matthew Hobbs and Bessie Jane Hobbs; his stepson Jerry Draughon; and his siblings, Bobby Hobbs and Shirley Hobbs Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Hobbs; his stepsons, Ray (Betty Draughon) of Clinton, Larry Draughon of Fayetteville and Tony Draughon of Clinton; his grandsons, Brandon Draughon and Sam Sutton (Johnathan); his great grandchild Skylynn Draughon of Clinton; his brother Bill Hobbs (Susan) of Raleigh; and his sister-in-law Debbie Hobbs of Clinton. He is also survived by one niece and four nephews.
