He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Marion Daly, Sr. and Mattie Herring Daly; his grandmother Woodside; his wife Fran; his stepmother Annie Whitfield Daly; his siblings, Dr. Roswald Bernard Daly and Mary Parrot Gray; his stepbrother Otha Herring; his daughter Marian Daly Kidd (Harold Kidd) of Fayetteville; his granddaughter Dr. Angela Elizabeth Kidd of Fayetteville; his stepsister Marjorie Woodfin of Fuquay-Varina; his friend Freddie Thornton; and also Mary Doyne.
