He is survived by: his children, Tyrone Herring (Darnella) of Clinton, NC, Jeremy Herring of Atlanta, GA, Vince Melvin of Clinton, NC, Gwendolyn Herring of Clinton, NC, Chere Herring (Earl) of Clinton, NC and Lillie McNeil of Harrells, NC; his sisters, Christine Robinson of Garland, NC and Essie Carr of Garland, NC; his nephews, Rodney Mott and Roderick Whitted of Garland, NC; and his cousin Michael Mclymore of Ingold, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
