He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Wilbourne Burgess; his children, Johnny Burgess (Nicole) of Morehead and Lisa Burgess of Rose Hill; his grandchildren, Zackary Johnson (Katie), Callie B. Smith (Wayne) and Addie Burgess; his great grandchild Lyam Johnson; his sisters, Daphne Bowden and Elizabeth Warren; his stepsons, Ricky Stanley and Larry Gautier; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Lane, Audrey Seguine, Holli Gautier, Jacob Stanley, Josh Boyette and Jennifer Boyette; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Katlyn Lane, Ansley Lane, Emma Seguine, Olivia Seguine, James Seguine, Colton Stanley and Cayden Stanley.
