She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Onan and Etta Wooten Tyson; her husband Billy B. Poole; her daughter Margaret Ellen Poole; and her brothers, Marlan, Leslie, Billy and Bruce Tyson.

She is survived by: her son Robert Tyson Poole of Naperville, IL; her granddaughter Zoe Williams of Morehead City; and her sister Rita Lewis of Whiteville.
