He is survived by: his wife Mary Franks; his daughter Elizabeth Simonds; his stepdaughter Sandra Franks; his siblings, Shirley Galloway, Betty Buchanan, Marlyn Queen, Eva Nell Howard, Laura Baines, Dillard Simonds and Arvil Simonds; and his stepson Clinton Franks. He is also survived by twenty nieces and nephews, and twenty great nieces and nephews.
