He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence L. Upchurch and Era Alta Johnson Upchurch; and his sister Eloise Naylor. He is survived by: his girlfriend Nora Lou; his sisters, Ruby Stephenson and Jo Ann Denton; his children, Travis Upchurch (Donna) and Debbie Lucas (Dale); his grandchildren, DeAnna Willis, Justin Lucas, Allison Upchurch and Brian Upchurch (Elizabeth); and his great grandchild Gracie Willis.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Inc. (301 W Main St, Benson, NC 27504). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Upchurch Family Cemetery (377 Ethel Cooper Ln, Coats, NC 27521).
