She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert Capps and Rachel Hill Capps; her husband Roger A. Spencer; and her brothers, Noble Capps and Donald Capps.
She is survived by : her daughters, Jennifer S. Spencer (Andy) of Swan Quarter and Melanie S. Cahoon (Ben) of Nags Head; her grandchildren, Josh Gibbs (Maria), Jonathan Gibbs (Morgan), Jessi G. Sadler (Gage) and James Cahoon; her great grandchildren, Dustin Gibbs and Trevor Gibbs; and her brother Larry Capps (Faye) of Smithfield.
