She was predeceased by : her former life partner Warren G. Spencer; her son-in-law Robert Danse; and her siblings, Elizabeth Harris, Kathleen Whitley, Selma Harden, Charlotte Biggs, Edna Elks, Charlie Cahoon, Ray Cahoon, Joshua Cahoon and Glen Gurganus.
She is survived by : her husband Eastern of North Carolina; her daughters, Marsha Danser of New Jersey and Kathryn Page (Allen) of Swan Quarter; her grandchildren, Ashleigh Hatefi (Joe) and Spencer Page; her stepgrandson Rob Danser (Cecil); her great grandchildren, Jordan Gray, Zahra, Leanna, Drew, Cyrrus and Celine; her sisters-in-law, Mae Spencer of Wilmington and Virginia Gurganus; and her half-siblings, Naomi Alligood, Eleanor Humphreys, Bettie Elliott and Kent Gurganus of Bath. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
