He was predeceased by: his wife Jo Ann Mills of Rome; and his children, Angela Kay Gilbert and Tommie Jo Chapman. He is survived by: his sons, Alex Howard Mills, Jr., Terry Lee Mills and Gary Howard Mills. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
