He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude T. Bridges and Daisy Harris Bridges; and his son Michael B. Bridges, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Angela Agner Bridges; his children, Kathy Towery, Greg of Gaffney, SC, Dee Dee Crocker (Terry) of Spartanburg, SC, Brandon Bridges (Laurisa) of Atlanta, GA, Brian King of Concord, NC, Chandler King (Jessica) of Wilmington, NC and Zack King (Virginia) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Eric Towery (Drew), Jason Towery (Jessica), Garrett Pickrel, Abbey Pickrel, Patrick Bridges, Megan Bridges, Betsy, Amanda, Parker, John, Andrew and Leah King; and his brother Jerry Bridges (Joyce) of Gaffney, SC.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Covid halted his goal of the 50th state, Vermont.
