She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Bruce Howell and Ruth Lawing Howell; and her husband Herman Morrison Shimpock, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Tonda Thompson (Ronald Lee) of Concord and Herman Shimpock, Jr. (Carolyn) of LaGrange, Texas; her grandchildren, Ronda Harwell (Jeff) and Kyle Shimpock; her great grandchild Josh Harwell; her siblings, Barbara Spears of Concord and Jerry Howell of Concord; and her close friend Diane Boyles of Kannapolis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
