He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Watt Houck and Edna McCorkle Houck. He is survived by: his wife Elfi Houck; his son Drs; his grandchildren, Madison, Robert Houck and Sophia Midkiff; and his sister-in-law Ursula Galloway of Charlotte.
