It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Scott of Concord, North Carolina, born in Mount Pleasant, North Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jim" and Lula Easley Scott; and his former wife Mary Anne Parnell Scott. He is survived by: his wife Linda Gail Stanley Scott; his children, Libby Blackwelder (Brian), Melissa Boehm (Ben) and Mark Sloop; his sister Frances Hatley; and his grandchildren, Alex Sloop, Leigh Poteat, Lewis Williams and Mary Blackwelder.
