It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Leonard Helms Sr. (Concord, North Carolina), who passed away on January 30, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Helms and Lula Mae Griffin Helms; his wife Evon; his son Willie; and his siblings, Christine, Janie, Sonny and Charles.

He is survived by: his children, Carl L. Helms Jr. (late Jodie), Debra Webb (Steve) of Ellenboro and Pat Wolfe of Charlotte; his daughter-in-law Janelle Bates; his grandchildren, Jennifer Helms, Brian Helms, Steven Helms, Amanda Reynolds and Cody Perry (Angie); his great grandchildren, Taryn Helms, Elijah Reynolds, Cathrine Reynolds, Mackenzie Helms, Aubree Helms, Brelyn Perry and Brittany Bates; and his siblings, Jim Helms (Eleanor) of Charlotte, Nancy Anaya (Fred) of Colorado, Linda Gray (David) of Texas and Johnny Helms (JoAnn). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
