He is survived by: his sons, Larry Carpenter, James Carpenter (Stephanie) of Concord and Nolan Carpenter of West Virginia; his siblings, Fred D. Carpenter, Jr. of Concord, Bill Carpenter (Pam) of Kannapolis, Marvin Carpenter (Darlene) of Kannapolis, Billy Carpenter (Terri) of Salisbury, Jeanette Tidwell (Brent) of Kannapolis, Gail McClamrock (Daniel, Sr.) of Kannapolis, Lisa Honeycutt (Adam) of Kannapolis and Nita Benton (Andy) of Kannapolis; his granddaughter Rylee Campbell (Mama Sis); and his pets, Little Bit and Sadie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Whitley's Funeral Home to be applied to funeral expenses.
