He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Newton and Virginia Newton. He is survived by: his wife Priscilla S. Newton; his children, Kenny Simpson (Lori), Lisa Faine (Billy) and Crystal Maxwell (David); and his siblings, Jerry "Butch" Newton and Doris Jenkins. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
