He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana Sr. Brown and Goldie Brown of Witcher; his former wife Janet Marie Brown (Stephens); and his sister Brenda Welch. He is survived by: his wife Jean Brown; his children, Dana R. Brown III (Terra) of Sissonville, Greg Brown (Sheri) of Belle, Todd Brown of Belle and Michelle Farley (Eric) of Belle; and his stepsons, John Ashworth (Beth) of Statesville, David Ashworth (Pat) of Rockwell, Bruce Ashworth of Linwood, Scott Ashworth (Tracy) of Mt. Pleasant and Todd Ashworth (Katie) of Concord. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
