She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Austin and Lois Watkins Austin; her husband Tommy Lee Newton; her son Johnny Wayne Newton; her granddaughter Christy Lynn Newton; her great grandchild Baxter Floyd Newton; and her sister Helen Austin Yandle.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Kepley (Tim) of Concord, NC, Roger Newton and Jerry Newton (Kim) of Concord; her grandchildren, Chris, Roger Lee, Shane, Trent and Heath; and her sister Nancy Lewis of Hickory, NC..
